摘要：A method and device for protecting an article, wherein the security device hasbelt having a latch mating element. A magnetically actuable locking mechanism has amagnetically actuable latch and a flexible element. The magnetically actuable latchincludes a lower surface having at least one protrusion extending there from andadapted to engage with the latch mating element of the belt, and a front surfaceadjacent the lower surface. The front surface has a lateral notch formed therein. Theflexible element biases the magnetically actuable latch and the belt into a lockedposition. A housing has the magnetically actuable latch disposed therein and housingincludes a passageway therein defining a belt pathway configured to slidingly receive thebelt therein.
